Local firefighters pay respects to 19-fallen heroes
Local firefighters are in Arizona to pay their respects to the 19-fallen “hot shot” crew members who were killed in the Yarnell Fire. Thousands of people attended Tuesday’s memorial including many local city leaders, crews from Santa Barbara Fire, Vandenberg Fire, Montecito Fire and the Los Padres hot shots.
The 19-firefighters died last month while battling the 2000 acre fire. One of the elite crew members grew up in Santa Ynez. A memorial service for Sean Misner will take place at Santa Ynez High School July 15th at 7pm.
