Santa Barbara County Fair rolls into town
The Santa Barbara County Fair is set to open its gates Wednesday in Santa Maria. It’s expected to be five days filled with fun.
This is the 122 nd year of the fair and organizers expect more people than ever before to come out and have fun.
Kids from up and down the coast have already brought out their livestock for the fair’s premiere event, the Junior Livestock Auction. That event begins at 8 a.m. on Saturday.
Fair officials said last year the auction raised more than $2 million. That money goes to the kids who raised the animals.
If you are not into the livestock auction then you can enjoy the day at the carnival or catch a free concert at night.
The acts include, WAR, Clay Walker, .38 Special and Creedence Clearwater Revisited.
The fair runs through Sunday.
