Ennis drafted by Atlanta, traded to Miami

With apologies to LeBron, James Ennis is taking his talents to South Beach. The 2008 Ventura High School graduate was selected in the second round of the NBA Draft by the Atlanta Hawks. However Atlanta quickly traded the 50th overall pick to the back-to-back World Champion Miami Heat.

Ennis played junior college basketball at both Oxnard and Ventura before moving on to Long Beach State where he won Big West Conference Player of the Year this past season for the 49ers.

The 6-foot-7 Ennis averaged over 13 points per game in his two years at Long Beach State while shooting 49 percent from the field. He is the first 49ers player drafted since 1998.
