Maritime Museum raises mast
The Channel Islands Maritime Museum held a mast-raising ceremony Thursday.
The mast is at the entrance of the museum’s new location on Bluefin Circle in the Channel Islands Harbor.
The location was once the home of the Port Royal restaurant. It is right next to the new Channel Islands Boating Center.
It’s former location, on the east side of the harbor, was bought by developers and is currently being used by the Elite Theatre.
The museum, open seven days a week, is home to a world-class collection of maritime art and ship models.
