Slideshow: Summer Solstice transforms Santa Barbara

It’s estimated close to 100,000 spectators were into townSaturday for the annual Summer Solstice celebration in Santa Barbara.

The traditional summer parade started from lower State Street and streamed all the way to Alameda Park.

The clever float concepts along with the stunning costumes and dancing made the entire event a feast for the eyes.

The actual summer solstice day was Friday, June 21, which is understood to be the longest day in the year. Many revelers say the Saturday parade in Santa Barbara the perfect way to celebrate.
