Santa Barbara County grand jury releases review of local agencies and facilities
The Santa Barbara County grand jury released two reports this weekend outlining needed areas of improvement for the Sheriff’s Coroner Bureau as well as its facilities and for Law Enforcement and Detention facilities.
Numerous recommendations were offered to improve the quality of the Coroner’s Bureau andthe quality of services.Also, health and safety upgrades were noted to improve the working conditions of staffers.
Ultimately, its the goal of the grand jury to support the Coroner’s Bureauas becoming fully accredited by the National Association of Medical Examiners.
