Man dies after being thrown from boat
One man died after he and a friend were thrown into the water in Morro Bay on Sunday when their boat capsized.
It happened just before 7:30 a.m.
The surviving passenger swam ashore and called 911.
Harbor Patrol found the other man, who was unconscious, and he was taken to Sierra Vista Hospital in San Luis Obispo.
He died of his injuries. His name is being withheld until next of kin can be notified.
Both men were not wearing life jackets.
