Granada Books opens in downtown Santa Barbara

Granada Books, the first independent bookstore to open in downtown Santa Barbara in 20 years, is now open for business.

Mayor Helene Schnieder performed the ribbon cutting ceremony, and guests were entertained with music, food and drinks on opening night.

The 3000 square feet store features a wide range of books, weekly book signings, speeches by various authors, cooking presentations, readings for children and more.

The store is located at 1224 State street, right next door to the Granada Theater.
