Carjacking victim stabbed in Oxnard

A 26-year-old man was driving a Nissan Sentra when he was stabbed and carjacked Tuesday night.

It happened near an alley on the 500 block of East Second Street in the La Colonia neighborhood of Oxnard.

Many residents were afraid to talk about what happened.

But some said a car is not worth your life and that if something like that happened to them they would hand the car over without a fight.

Oxnard police said the victim is listed in stable condition.

The car was later found abandoned, but police are still looking for two or three young men seen taking off in the car after the stabbing.
