Brushfire near Creston contained at 6 acres
A small brushfire threatened homes on Kingsbury Road in Creston just south of Paso Robles.
Cal Fire San Luis Obispo is calling this incident the King Fire and it started just after 7 p.m. Thursday. It only burned about six acres but the flames came dangerously close to structures in hot, dry conditions.
Firefighters will stay on scene for at least two hours to mop up and put out any hot spots.
