Mid State Fair expected to draw big crowds

The California Mid State Fair is little more than a month away and organizers say this year will be bigger and better than ever.

From July 17-28, the Paso Robles Event Center will be filled with carnival rides, food vendors, free musical entertainment and some legends will hit the main stage.

Van Halen, Tim Mcgraw, Rascal Flatts and John Mayer are just a few of the headliners this year. Officials say ticket sales are doing great but all shows still have seats available.

“We have tickets available for all of our nights. Van Halen, people are saying ‘oh my gosh it’s already sold out,’ — no it’s not sold out, we have great seats available so get online call the box office,” said Mid State Fair CEO Vivian Robertson.

Last year more than 400,000 people passed through the gates at the fair and this year organizers hope to surpass that number.
