Truck crashes into Santa Barbara apartment building
A pickup truck crashed into an apartment building in Santa Barbara this afternoon about 4:40 p.m. causing an injury to the driver.
The accident occurred in the 1400 block of San Pascual Street.
Officials say the driver was out of the vehicle and walking down the street when police and fire arrived.
A support beam for an upstairs balcony was damaged and the truck hit the building, which was occupied.
No one inside was hurt.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation by the Santa Barbara Police Department.
Firefighters brought in extra crews to make sure the building was structurally safe.
