Beach promenade violence leads to teen arrests

Ventura police said an argument between adults and two teens led to violence on the beach promenade.

It happened just north of the Ventura pier.

Police said a woman was pushed to the ground and hit with a wooden object.

A man who came to her rescue was also hit.

Officers caught 14-and 15-year-old boys running from the area.

They were booked into Juvenile Hall in Oxnard.

The woman is being treated at Ventura County Medical Center.

The man was treated for minor wounds near the promenade and California Street.
