CHP motorcyclist officer and shuttle van collide

California Highway Patrol reported that an on-duty CHP officer’s motorcycle was involved in an accident with a shuttle van Tuesday.

It happened just after 3:15 p.m. in front of the Macy’s on Hope and La Cumbre streets. The motorcyclist officer was transported by ambulance to the hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of the van was also transported to the hospital. Officials said both parties are expected to be OK.
