Gauchos season ends with 5-4 loss to Texas A&M at NCAA Regionals

Trailing 5-1, UCSB scored three times in the seventh inning but that’s as close as they would get in a 5-4 loss to Texas A&M in an elimination game at the NCAA Baseball Corvallis Regional. The Gauchos go 1-2 in the regional and finish the year 35-25.

Joe Winterburn’s pinch-hit two-run single cut the deficit to 5-4 in the bottom of the seventh but Jason Jester shut down the Gauchos the rest of the way to earn his 14th save of the season.
