Foresters sweep opening weekend series

Shane Rowland and the Santa Barbara Foresters have started the season strong. He drove in four runs and is 3-for-6 in two games as Santa Barbara defeated the San Diego Waves 7-1 to complete a two game season-opening sweep.

Four Foresters pitchers combined to three-hit the Waves led by Drew Van Orden who went five innings for the win.

Santa Barbara hosts the North County Indians on Tuesday at 5 p.m.
