Sinkhole shuts down local highway

All Eastbound lanes of Highway 126 are shutdown at A Street in Fillmore because of a sinkhole.

The sinkhole is only about 3-feet wide, and looks more like a pothole on the surface. But it’s being described as much bigger underground.

Crews are trying to determine the source of the problem and how to fix it.

The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office says all Eastbound lanes will stay closed until it’s repaired and no one seems to know how long that will be.
