Cal Poly wins first Division 1 Regional game in school history

Cal Poly’s 40th win on the season was historic. The Mustangs defeated the University of San Diego 9-2 to earn their first NCAA Regional win in school history.

Joey Wagman won his 13th game of the season while freshman Brian Mundell drove in four runs and hit his 11th home run of the season.

Jimmy Allen had four hits in the game as the Mustangs erupted for six runs in the 6th inning to put the game away in this double-elimination tournament at the Los Angeles Regional.

Cal Poly will face host UCLA tomorrow at 6 p.m. The Bruins beat San Diego State 5-3.
