Arrests made in Memorial Day stabbing in Santa Barbara

The Santa Barbara Police Department arrested three teens allegedlyinvolved in a MemorialDay stabbing on SantaBarbara’s State Street.

A 17-year-old suspect was arrested on suspicion of assaultwith a deadly weapon.Twoothers are alsoin custody. Police made the arrests on Wednesday.

Authorities say the 17-year-old is responsible for stabbing another juvenile during a fight near Canon Perdido Street.

A 15- and 17-year-old were arrestedon suspicion ofbattery, fighting in public, and violation of probation.

All three suspects were booked into Santa Barbara County Juvenile Hall.

Detectives credit witnesses who came forward in cracking the case.
