Santa Barbara Zoo names its baby triceratops

The Santa Barbara Zoo revealed the name of one its newest residents, a 7-week-old baby triceratops. The zoo received more than 400 entries for name suggestions from the community. The winning name is Tulip.

Tulip now joins Lily and T-Rex Duncan for the zoo’s new live show, Dino Doc. The show is on weekends at 12 and 3, and it’s all about veterinarian care at the zoo. Children get a chance to go on stage and exam the dinosaurs.
