Memorial Day weekend marks the beginning of the summer travel season and is traditionally one of the busiest travel periods of the year.

Gas prices aren’t stopping many from driving out of town.
In Santa Barbara County, the average price of regular unleaded is $4.09; that’s down nearly 30 cents from last year. In San Luis Obispo County, the price tag is $4.11, in Ventura County, it’s $4.07.
