DRI sends aid to Oklahoma

Direct Relief in Santa Barbara is doing its part to help those in tornado stricken Oklahoma. With the number of people hurt and displaced in the hundreds, the non-profit is helping clinics in the area.

Volunteers quickly shifted gears Monday from their usual preparations for hurricane season, to a tornado response. They’re packing more than 200 bins with medical supplies and personal care items to ship out. Some bins are expected to arrive Wednesday morning. Each one can help treat more than 100 patients.

The non-profit group is making it’s 30-million dollar inventory available for this disaster. DRI is the only group that can donate prescription medicine to all 50 states. To donate visit: http://www.directrelief.org/
