Truck flips on Highway 101

Drivers heading from Ventura to Santa Barbara had a long commute Monday morning. A produce truck lost control and flipped over.

Both northbound lanes were completely blocked briefly while a tow truck pulled the wreckage out of the way.

The accident happened on Highway 101 north near Santa Monica Road about 7 a.m. Monday.

Traffic was backed up all the way to Seaward Avenue in Ventura.

The driver was taken to a hospital. The injuries and condition of the driver were not released.

The California Highway Patrol is still investigating the cause of the crash.
