Gang member arrested in Milpas shooting
An 18-year-old Santa Barbara-area gang member was arrested for attempted murder for his involvement in a recent shooting.
The shooting happened last Tuesday on the 800 block of North Milpas Street. He was arrested last Friday while making a court appearance at Santa Barbara Superior Court.
His name will not be released because of the ongoing investigation. Santa Barbara Police Department detectives confirm this is a gang incident.
So far it does not appear to be related to the previous day’s stabbing of a gang member on the 900 block of East Gutierrez Street.
The man was booked into County Jail with his bail set at $700,000.
