Taste of the Nation helps end childhood hunger

The area’s top chefs and restaurants are joining forces to help end childhood hunger.

Guests at the Taste of the Nation at the Montecito Country Club got to enjoy food and the region’s top winemakers and brewers.

The funds raised from Sunday’s event will help feed kids in Santa Barbara and across the country.

This year, the event featured a community chef competition. Three local chefs were paired with junior high students and community leaders. The teams had 30 minutes to prepare a dish of their choice.

The winning student will receive a class field trip and hands-on chef cooking class at the Bacara Resort and Spa.
