Lions Club presents check to other non-profits

Members of the Ventura Downtown Lion’s Club raised tens of thousands of dollars at a sold-out crab feast in Ventura.

The 90 year-old group put all of that money to good use on Thursday.

The club presented a $20,000 dollar check to Interface Children Family Services. Interface works to prevent and heal the effects of child abuse, neglect and abandonment, domestic violence, family conflict and mental health issues.

The Teen Challenge House in Ventura received $8,000 dollars. It serves Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo and Ventura Counties.
