Felon caught after pursuit

After a slow speed pursuit, a convicted felon is behind bars tonight.

Probation officers called for backup from the Santa Barbara Police Department when the wanted man would not pull over while driving his truck through the San Roque neighborhood near Las Positas.

Eventually the man was pinned down by police units.

At the scene police said the driver had a felony conviction linked to drinking and driving, and was suspected today of driving drunk on a suspended license.

No other details have been made available.
