Jolie shared the news in a New York Times article, and has sparked national dialogue on screenings for breast cancer. Through genetic testing, Jolie revealed that she discovered she has the BRCA-1 gene mutation, which puts her at high risk for breast and ovarian cancer.
NewsChannel 3 Reporter Shirin Rajaee spoke with a local physician to learn more about the gene mutation, and whether or not allwomen should be tested.
