Police arrest hungry burglary suspect

A pizza store owner caught a suspected burglar making himself at home.

It happened at Pizza Chief on the corner of Main Street and MacMillan Ave. in Ventura late Monday night. The owner was across the street having a drink with a friend when he noticed someone in his pizza shop.

The owner said he caught a man making garlic bread and called the police.

Police arrested 37-year-old Lance Conley of Ventura.

Officers said they determined that Conley had entered the business through an unlocked window.

Conley was booked into the Ventura County Jail on a charge of commercial burglary.
