SBCC nears $1 million fundraising goal
The Foundation for Santa Barbara City College wrapped up its “Show Us Your Love” campaign Tuesday.
For the past six weeks, the campaign for student success raised nearly $1 million.
The number of donors has jumped to 5,000, up from 800 three years ago.
The donations help hundreds of students every year.
“It goes to student support, it goes to book grants, child care, scholarships — things that will make it possible for people not just to go to school but to actually succeed,” said foundation president Neil Kreisel.
