Two people stabbed in gang-related incident in Santa Maria
Two people were stabbed in a gang-related incident in Santa Maria Sunday night, police said.
The incident happened around 9:30 p.m. in the 700 block of South Western Avenue near the La Vista Apartments.
Santa Maria police had sealed off the area of South Western Avenue and Knudsen Way.
One victim was taken to Marian Medical Center in Santa Maria, the other to Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara.
Both sustained substantial injuries and are listed in stable condition.
