Robotics team wins award at world championship

After months of hard work and preparation Dos Pueblos High School’s Team 1717 is out of the first Robotic World Championships.

The team was eliminated Sunday in the quarter finals being held in Saint Louis, Missouri.

The D-Penguineers were competing against more than 400 high school robotics teams from around the world.

But the team did not leave empty handed. Team 1717 received the Rockwell International’s Innovation in Control Award, for the robot’s design and mechanism.

Congratulations to the D-Penguineers for all their success!
