Man arrested for possession of child pornography

A man is in custody Thursday, charged with child pornography and lewd acts with a child.

The suspect is 50-year-old Scott Alan Thompson. Investigators and detectives from Santa Barbara County served a search warrant at a house on Oak Knoll Road in Orcutt.

The Santa Barbara County district attorney said evidence was found at the location. So far, one child has been identified.

Thompson will be arraigned in Santa Maria court on Friday.
