Man injured in Isla Vista cliff fall
A 22-year-old man is recovering after falling off a cliff in the 6600 block of Del Playa in Isla Vista early Sunday morning.
Authorities say the victim passed the safety fence, and possibly slipped on the ice plant before falling nearly 50 feet to the beach below.
An eyewitness says it appears the man was intoxicated.
The unidentified victim is reportedly in serious condition at Cottage Hospital.
