Winds knock down trees
Gusty winds ripped dozens of tree limbs down in Santa Barbara’s Mesa neighborhood early Monday morning. Many streets and sidewalks were littered with eucalyptus tree branches.
Part of a tree crashed to the ground at La Mesa Park. City workers put yellow tape around the tree to keep people away.
City workers picked up palm fronds by the truckload at Shoreline Park Monday.
Wind toppled a big tree near the property line of a home on Hixon Road in Montecito. Workers spent most of Monday morning removing the debris.
