Pipe failure leads to huge sewage spill in San Luis Obispo
500 gallons of sewage spilled along a popular San Luis Obispo bike path.
The SLO Co. Public Health Department says the leak affected a huge area along Bob Jones Bike Trail Sunday.
Investigators say an old section of pipe failed.
The sewage has been cleaned up and the pipe was repaired. Crews even replaced the asphalt along the bike path Monday.
So far there have been no reported health concerns.
