High school district found no reason to keep Tim Flynn out of classroom
Oxnard Mayor Tim Flynn returned to his day job at Pacifica High School this week.
Last week he was accused by a mother of battering a child in his classroom.
Oxnard Union High School District finished its own investigation and found nothing that should keep Tim Flynn out of the classroom.
Dr. Robert Q. Valles, Jr. , the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources with
the Oxnard Union High School District, issued the following statement:
“A Pacifica High School student made an allegation against geography teacher Mr. Tim Flynn. The school immediately placed Mr. Flynn on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation. The school administration conducted a full and through investigation and concluded that Mr. Flynn could return to the classroom. The investigation is being followed up by the Ventura County Sheriff’s office who are conducting their own investigation”.
To avoid any conflict of interest the Oxnard police asked the Sheriff’s Department to handle the investigation.
Investigators said the mother of a girl made the complaint.
