Sex crimes trial ordered for former Oxnard school employee

An Oxnard man who worked as the office manager at Harrington Elementary School in Oxnard has been ordered to stand trial on child sex charges.

Gustavo Moya Canizalez, 29, is facing a number of charges stemming from the alleged sexual assaults of two young boys, police said.

The alleged victims were not school students, but children he met and knew who were unrelated to the school.

Canizalez could face a life sentence if convicted.

He remains in jail on $1 million bail.

He is due back in court March 22nd when a trial date will be set.
