Los Padres aims to reduce Arroyo Burro Shooting Range trash

Los Padres National Forest is taking steps to reduce trash at the Arroyo Burro shooting area.

In January, the Calguns Shooting Sports Association organized a group of more than 90 local volunteers to remove nearly 40 tons of trash at the Arroyo Burro area, which was a huge success.

Educational signs now warn the public if you leave behind trash or illegally dump garbage, you will be issued a citation carrying a maximum penalty of $5,000 and/or six months in jail.
