Orchard to Ocean run ready for entries

Carpinteria’s Orchard to Ocean run is looking for runners of all levels.

The event takes place this Saturday.

It’s the 21st year of the race that offers competition at many levels.

There will be a 5-K, 10-K and a one mile fun run.

The route includes the Carpinteria bluffs, the ocean and city streets.

Funds from the event will go to the Carpinteria Education Foundation to help local schools with grants, field trips and classroom materials.

More than 700 runners and walkers participated in last year’s event.

Registration forms and other information is available at carpeducationfoundation.org.
