Sheriff’s Department looking for parole violator

The search is heating up right now for a woman who Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Departmentofficials say cut off her GPS monitoring device.

At the same time, San Luis Obispo County sheriff’s deputies arrested a wanted parolee today, who did the same thing.

Santa Barbara County sheriff’s officials say 19-year-old Angelina Tejeda illegally removed her GPS device early Friday morning. Tejedahad beentransferred from the Santa Barbara County Jail to the electronic monitoring device program less than 24 hours before.

Earlier this week, Ronald Digirolamo of San Luis Obispo County did the same thing. He was found and taken back into custody as was Steven Kunes in Carpinteria last Sunday.

When someone takes the device off it sends a signal alerting authorities that the device has been removed, making them an instant fugitive.

If you have any information on Angelina Tejeda’s location you are asked to contact the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Department.
