UCSB gives up double-digit lead, losses to Sac State

UC Santa Barbara’s men’s basketball team let one slip away Saturday.

The Gauchos (8-18) had a 12 point lead in the second half against Sacramento State but it quickly evaporated. Sac State’s Konnor Veteto scored with 5.4 seconds left in the game to give the Hornets a 51-50 victory.

Sac State shot just 32.7 percent from the field but outscored UCSB by nine in the second half.

UCSB’s Taran Brown led all scorers with 18 points but was the only Gaucho in double figures. Alan Williams pulled in 11 rebounds but struggled shooting the basketball with just only eight points.
