St. Joe’s fights back from huge second half deficit but still loses in basketball semifinals

Down 35-19 midway through the third quarter, Curry Parham and the St. Joseph Knights made a furious comeback that saw them take a 43-42 lead with just over three minutes left in their CIF Division 4A semifinal boys basketball playoff game. But Brentwood answered with a 10-0 run and they won 54-46 in Santa Maria.

Parham led the Knights with 16 points with many of those coming late in the third quarter and early in the fourth as St. Joseph battled back. The Knights are 22-8 and may receive a bid into the State Tournament which will be announced next weekend.
