Father is charged with murder of 2-year-old daughter

A Paso Robles man accused of child abuse is now charged with murder.

The 2-year-old died of her injuries last Tuesday night in a Bay Area hospital. Her father, Herbert Brown III, was charged with assault and murder.

The Paso Robles police responded to the 200 block of Santa Ysabel Avenue. Authorities said the girl had injuries to her head and body.

The autopsy of the girl is scheduled for later this week.

Brown is booked in to San Luis Obispo County Jail and he is being held on $130,000 bail.
