Building fire on Skyway Drive in Santa Maria

We now what caused the Santa Maria structure fire Monday night.

A fire broke out just after 5:00 p.m. at an Auto Glass shop at Betteravia and Skyway Drive.

Investigators determined the cause of the fire was unintentional and started in a pile of solvent soaked rags left in the workshop area.

The Santa Maria Fire Department mopped up the area.
No one was hurt.

The damage is estimated to be around $150,000.
