Bank closed for the day after bomb threat

Wells Fargo Bank on Anacapa and Figueroa streets is closed for the rest of the day after a bomb scare.

Santa Barbara police evacuated the bank in the the downtown area just before 9 a.m. on Friday.

The police station received a bomb threat to the bank over the phone and alerted employees shortly after.

Officers completed a building search within an hour and did not find anything suspicious.

Employees were able to return to work but some expressed concerns of still being unsafe.

Wells Fargo managers said customers may use the State Street branch for further banking needs.
