Woman In NewsChannel 3 Investigation Pleads Guilty
A woman we caught ripping off customers in Santa Barbara, Ventura and Los Angeles Counties is headed to jail.
Aviva or “Vee” Milan advertised furniture for sale on Craigslist. However, we discovered she would take customers’ money and not deliver the furniture.
When they complained, she would allegedly threaten them by saying her husband is an LAPD Detective.
Our investigation led to her husband being dismissed from his job and just today, Vee Milan pleaded guilty to two counts of felony grand theft. She faces five years in prison, although she’ll probably only spend a few days behind bars because of prison and jail overcrowding. She also must pay about $16,000 dollars in restitution to her victims.
