UCSB Soccer Player Seen Pushing A Ref Selected By MLS Club San Jose

Soccer player Peter McGlynn is getting a second chance. Last October McGlynn was caught on tape shoving a referee following a UCSB men’s soccer loss. He was handcuffed on the field, kicked off the team and has since pleaded not guilty to misdemeanor battery charges. Despite that ugly incident the San Jose Earthquakes selected McGlynn in the fourth round of the MLS Supplemental Draft. Two UCSB seniors were also selected, Machael David went in the 3rd round to Colorado and Houston nabbed Nic Ryan also in the 3rd round.
