No Smoking New Hires
If you are looking for a job, smoking may work against you.A Ventura County Star report says the owners of Community Memorial Hospital in Ventura, Ojai Valley Community Hospital in Ojai and their family health clinics will no longer hire smokers.An official with the private company could not be reached for comment.But hospital visitors in Ventura gave the idea mixed reviews.Some say they don’t want to smell smoke.Others say it’s all about reducing the cost of insurance.No one has sued over the issue.Smokers already hired will be encouraged to kick to habit.Share your comments about this story with us on the KEY News Facebook page.
