Hazardous Waste Collection

The City of Santa Maria is offering businesses looking to get rid of huge amounts of waste an environmentally safe and cost effective method. People can dispose of the waste through a program at the Santa Maria Regional Landfill Hazardous Waste Collection Facility. The types of hazardous waste accepted include acids, non-PCB ballasts, cleaners, paints, batteries, light bulbs, oil, and other hazardous wastes. The business or non-household must generate 27 gallons or 220 pounds of waste per month. Questions may be directed to the Utilities Department, (805) 925-0951 ext. 7270.
